2024 AAU Taekwondo Super Regional (Region 13) Championship has a NO REFUNDS policy. All athletes and coaches must register and pay in full. If payment is not received by the deadline (February 15, 2024), competitor(s) will be disqualified. All credentials can be picked-up on Friday, February 23rd from 2:30pm to 3:30pm and Saturday, February 24th from 8:30am to 9:30pm at James Lick High School, 57 White Rd, San Jose, CA 95127.

QUALIFYING EVENTS FOR AAU TAEKWONDO NATIONALS

ATHLETES MAY PARTICIPATE & PLACE 1ST THROUGH 8TH IN ANY EVENTS AT THE DISTRICT, STATE, AND REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE QUALIFIED TO COMPETE AT THE 2024 AAU TAEKWONDO NATIONALS

Referees: All referees must meet at James Lick High School, 57 White Rd, San Jose, CA 95127, no later than 3:00pm on Friday and no later than 8:00am on Saturday. All referees must officiate the full event for the honorarium. Please contact GM Kwangil Bae at baetkd@gmail.com for details or to express your interest.

Event Credentials – All participants will receive an event credential when they arrive to the event check-in. Weigh-ins will be required for ONLY Olympic Sparring Black Belts Ages 10 & Up on Friday, February 23rd from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm.

Note: Olympic Sparring Black Belts Ages 10 & Up MUST provide a valid ID to pick-up credential and to weigh-in.

There will be no exception to this policy. Valid ID are the following: School ID, State Issued ID, Passport, or birth certificate. If the athlete is a minor and does not have a valid ID, then the parent/legal guardian must provide a copy of their birth certificate. The participant’s credentials are not valid for an adult, parent, or sibling of that participant. This event is a qualifier for the AAU National Championship – credential must be pickup with a valid ID for athletes or for the coaches.

 Coach: To obtain a Coach Pass, you must take the online quiz at https://application.aausports.org/stw/defaultce.asp,

then register online for the Coaching Credential at www.aautkdregion13.com by February 15, 2024.

Coach’s Dress code: Coach’s attire will be enforced at this tournament — NO EXCEPTIONS:  Warm-up pants and official blue AAU shirt. Coach’s shirt can be purchased at the online at https://www.aamasupply.com

Spectators: All spectators (unless a designated VIP, Referee, or a Volunteer) must purchase an admission ticket and may not enter the arena floor at any time. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the tournament.

 IMPORTANT NOTE: The tournament director may modify some rules according to the local conditions. Director also reserve the right to combine or divide weight categories depending on the size of the group.

 This event is Licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union of the US Inc

All participants must have a current AAU Membership. AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event. AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection. Be Prepared: Adult and non-athlete memberships are no longer instant and cannot be applied for at event. Please allow 10 days for membership to be processed. Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU website https://aau.rsportz.com to obtain their membership.
